Do you take insurance?

This is the most asked question before someone comes to our office, and the answer is YES!  We take Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Care Network, MESSA, HAP, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Medicare, Molina, Meridian, Medicaid, Priority Health, Medicare and more.

How much will it cost?

We won’t know the answer to this until you come into the office to meet with our doctor.  Many factors play into the cost of care. 

  • How many visits the condition will require
  • If your insurance will help you pay for part of the treatments
  • If you have met your deductible for the year
  • What condition you have
  • What treatments will be performed at our office

After your first visit, the doctor will have approximate costs for you IN WRITING when you decide to continue care at our office. We have even created a simplified pricing structure to help make your insurance (and related deductibles) easier to understand.

What is wrong with me?

There are many resources online that people typically go to when they are feeling pain down their leg, back pain, neck pain or headaches. However, popular websites such as Google, WebMD, and Dr. Oz can point you in the exact opposite direction relative to what your condition may be. It is always best to schedule an appointment at our office so we can review your history and complete any additional tests to accurately determine what is wrong and the best way to treat it.

Can you help me?

If we find that your condition may be out of our scope of practice, or if you are able to get more affordable care and/or faster results elsewhere, then we would rather send you to the appropriate healthcare provider. This is how we have continued to build trust with our patients, their friends, and their families. However, we are able to help most people that come into our office without having to refer them to another doctor.

How long will it take?

Many people that have never seen a chiropractor believe it is “addictive”, or that they “have to see the chiropractor forever”. While you may want to continue seeing us after your pain has gone away, we will never sign you up for long-term care or recommend ongoing care that isn't needed. Our typical patient has decreased pain within the first 30 days, and most complete their care within 60 days. There are some people that only require 3 visits, and some that require a more extended type of treatment. We don’t believe in the one size fits all approach, so the length of treatment required depends on multiple factors.

Can I see a chiropractor if I’m pregnant?

Yes! Chiropractic care and pregnancy work very well together. Not only are the adjustments safe for the mother and the child, but they are also fast and effective. As your hormones fluctuate during pregnancy, your spine and pelvis go through multiple changes, which can leave you feeling restricted in many movements, sometimes with sharp pain in the lower back or sciatic nerve.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy has also shown to help reduce labor time by 25%, help reduce pain so you can sleep, and help you avoid the use of medication while pregnant.

Do you adjust infants, toddlers, or children?

Yes, yes, and yes. Over 20 clinical trials and studies have shown that chiropractic care for infants greatly reduces colic symptoms. Other controlled trials have shown that chiropractic care in infants or toddlers can reduce or eliminate ailments such as AOM (Acute Otitis Media), an infection of abrupt onset that usually presents with ear pain, in just a few visits!  We also see many children who have sports injuries, neck pain (often due to technology devices), or poor posture. Our adjustments are gentle, safe, and customized. We always consider your child’s age and condition.

Can a person who had back surgery see a chiropractor?

Many people who have had back surgery or neck surgery still need to manage pain. This can be due to the surgery not being successful or nerves around the surgery site becoming “pinched”.  We have over 12 years of experience with treating patients AFTER they have had spinal surgery. The medical community considers this condition “Failed Back Surgery Syndrome”, a general diagnosis meaning that the surgery was not successful. Whether the initial pain was from a slipped disc, herniated disc, or bulging disc, we have many different treatment options that are right for you.

Do you perform multiple techniques?

Yes. We believe that one technique for everyone is not appropriate for the best results at a chiropractic office. We perform manual adjustments (using our hands to manipulate the spine and joints), as well as instrument-based adjustments. We perform techniques such as Palmer, Gonstead, Diversified, Cox, Flexion-Distraction, Webster, Activator, Pro-Adjuster, Sigma Instruments, and many more. We want the entire process to be comfortable during your adjustment, so whatever technique we use will be explained before treatment begins

Will you take X-rays?

This is only done if necessary. X-rays allow us to discover things that we can’t touch, hear, or see during your exam, such as arthritis or degenerative disc disease. We follow federal guidelines when considering X-rays, which states that X-rays should be performed on a patient that has two of the following. 

  • Pain
  • Asymmetry of joints
  • Decreased range of motion
  • Sore muscles and fibers

Will I receive my treatment plan in writing?

Yes. We want you to be active in eliminating your pain! By providing your treatment plan in writing, it allows us to set clear goals with you in order measure specific outcomes along the way. Think of it as your road map to feeling great again!

Are you a chiropractor near me?

Since our office offers unique therapies that are difficult to find all under one roof, we see patients from Waterford, West Bloomfield, Clarkston, Bloomfield Twp, Pontiac, White Lake, Highland, Davison, Keego Harbor, Commerce Twp and Sylvan Lake.
